Extra Credit for Social Studies
Due Wednesday, March 4th
1.Write a two page paper on one of the following:
a. The Monroe Doctrine
b. McCulloch v. Maryland
c. The Indian Removal Act & The Trail of Tears
• Be sure to include all relevant historical information as well as how those events impacted us today.
2.This is a research paper; therefore you need to use materials other than your textbook to construct your paper.
3.It must have the following:
a. Typed: size 12 Times New Roman font
b. 2 pages
c. A bibliography page – your sources (encyclopedia, internet site, etc.)
d. Title
e. Name, Date, Period
4.This must be turned into Ms. Jordan by Wednesday, March 4th. It will not be accepted after this date.
5.DO NOT PLAGARIZE!!! If you want to use someone’s work it must be cited – put in quotations and the author’s name must be recognized in your bibliography. If you are confused as to how to set up a bibliography page or to cite works, look up “MLA style format” on the Internet
